In India, there are several institutions that offer courses in aircraft maintenance engineering (AME). These aircraft maintenance engineers courses generally fall into two categories: diploma and degree programs.

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (DAME):
This is a 3 years diploma program, It focuses on providing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to maintain and repair aircraft. After completing this course, the students will be eligible for DGCA licensing exams and upon passing the exams, they can apply for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license and work as a technician level in the aircraft maintenance field.

Bachelor of Technology in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (B.Tech AME):
This is a 4 years degree program, It provides more detailed and specialized knowledge in aircraft systems, structures, propulsion, and avionics. The students will also get the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships and other hands-on training. This degree program also make them eligible for DGCA licensing exams.

The institutions that offer these courses are approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is the regulatory body for civil aviation in India. Some of the notable institutions include Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), Institute of Aerospace Safety and Management (IASM), Institute of Aviation Technology, Pinnacle School of Engineering and Technology, Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology etc. These institutions have good reputation and acceptance in the industry.
